Teen pop-country Nashville recording artist Macartney Reinhardt is quickly catching the eye of industry executives and music lovers with her powerhouse vocals, her soulful, bluesy twang, and lyrics that come straight from the heart.
As part of a multi-generational musical family Macartney was exposed to a variety of styles and genres from an early age. The Atlanta, GA. native was captivated watching her dad perform when she was a toddler, and started singing along while he played guitar. At just 5 years old she knew she wanted to be a singer and knew she always wanted music at the center of her life.
This rising recording artist has performed all over the Southeast in venues both small and large, from clubs to large outdoor events and music competitions. Macartney is one of just four musicians nominated for Teen Artist of the Year at the 2021 Georgia Country Awards, which honors the very best country musicians in the state. She was also nominated in 2020 as Teen Artist of the Year and performed in front of industry professionals and peers at the event, known as the “CMAs” of Georgia. In 2020, Macartney was chosen to compete in Georgia Has Talent, then in 2021 she was selected again as a contestant for the showcase event. Most recently, Macartney was nominated for The 2022 Josie Music Awards, with three nominations. These included “Teen Vocalist of the Year”, “Teen Artist of the Year”, and “Country Female Song of the Year”.
Macartney supports American Cancer Society research with fundraisers to honor her grandmother, in hopes that a cure can be found in the future. She has also performed for 500 Songs for Kids, a non-profit that gives kids with disabilities and illnesses the chance to express themselves with music. Macartney’s love of music deepened into her teenage years after the loss of her grandparents. She started writing songs as an outlet and as a way to work through grief, which led to the release of her debut single “Shadows.” She discovered that songwriting and performing could bring her solace during difficult times, which is something she will carry with her through life.
